The need for a high performance actuator in the oil pipeline application is required by eliminating pressure surges which can rupture the pipelines. The goal is run the pipeline at the highest safe pressure but no higher.  The high performance actuator reduces the pressure surges which would go over the mechanism safe pressure.  M.E.A. Incorporated can furnish a range of high performance actuators to meet all sizes of pipelines.
