Major Improvements in Boiler Performance
Elk Grove Village, IL - M.E.A., Inc. has improved boiler draft control significantly with a highly accurate, high speed-induced and forced-draft fan damper actuator. M.E.A., Inc. can furnish a full stroke, 90 degree actuator with operating times of five seconds or less and torque up to 25,000 foot pounds as standard under 100% duty cycle and modulating control. This standard will operate the largest fans in operation today.
M.E.A., Inc. is the only manufacturer to offer five-second closings combined with high torque. Because of this high speed with stability - with frequency response of 3Hz or better, boiler draft pressure can be controlled within +/- 0.1" W.C.
Benefits to the user include: NOx emissions are reduced substantially which is crucial in today's "green climate" environment. Fan motor electrical trips are reduced and usually eliminated due to the high speed of the M.E.A., Inc. actuator. Fuel efficiency is improved as much as 0.1%. Boiler implosions are eliminated again because of the high speed performance of the M.E.A., Inc. fan damper actuator.
